A dial sets the thickness at 0.5 mm, 1.3 mm, 2.0 mm or 3.0 mm, from almost translucent to chip-thick. Notches at the corners hook over the rim of a bowl so the slicer sits steady while you work, and the supplied handguard keeps fingers above the blade.
